Public Relations, Marketing & Consultation Services
Heather L. Burgett began consulting under the HLB PR banner in September 2000, and continues to conduct public relations campaigns for a wide array of entertainment and corporate clientele—from launching new companies and brands to handling a red carpet event with 100 media outlets.
For the last four years, she has repped the Beverly Hills Film Festival, where she landed the late Oscar®-winning Italian director Federico Fellini's first Los Angeles Times film review in a quarter of a century—since his passing.
Other recent notable projects include the campaign for the critically-acclaimed film, "FREE FOR ALL!" regarding U.S. election integrity, the documentary "LIVE: a music and surfing experience" (featuring the music of Jimi Hendrix and The Doors), PR collaboration for Fashion Week Miami Beach and national product placement for the hot new fitness product Wrist Assured Gloves (WAGs), as well as the award-winning CleanRest® brand.
Previously, Burgett was vice president of publicity for the Hollywood-based public relations firm Clein + White, which led the award-winning PR campaign for “The Blair Witch Project.”
From grassroots marketing to the promotion of Oscar® and Grammy® Award-winners, she is an insightful and flexible team player, capable of quickly adapting to the twists and turns encountered in the world of marketing and public relations.
She has strategized for the positioning and building of many brands, leading campaigns for company and product launches, independent film, television and new media projects, events, non-profit organizations and personal clients. She has also conducted numerous movie and corporate campaigns at high profile film festivals, including Sundance, Toronto and Cannes.
In 2003, Burgett conceived the Occasiotherapy® all natural personal care line and founded the online retail store Fun Little Things® to house the occasion-oriented aromatherapy products that have been sold in stores nationwide.
She relocated from Boston to Los Angeles in 1997, landing at Hollywood boutique agency Asbury Communications as a senior account executive. Prior, she worked for The Weber Group (now Weber Shandwick) in Cambridge, where she serviced the company’s largest account, America Online, launching over 30 content partners, including Rolling Stone, VISA and Marvel Comics. She also publicized The Ritz-Carlton Boston’s 70th Anniversary celebration and Boston’s flagship Chanel boutique opening.
Burgett received her B.A. in Spanish and Political Science with a concentration in International Relations from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and served as an Ambassador of Goodwill for the United States Information Agency at the 1992 Universal Exposition in Seville, Spain. She is a native of Northfield, MA, where she attended the New England preparatory school, Northfield Mount Hermon.
